Research casts doubt on Knoller’s authorship of the work "Fall of the Magician Simon", hitherto attributed to him. Considerations include Troger’s altar leaf (1745) for the Premonstratensian Monastery of Hradisch, the almost indecipherable signature and various stylistic elements.
