Ute Lehmann (1960 - 2015)

Austrian ceramic and graphic artist Ute Lehmann was born in Salzburg on 27 June 1960. Love of ceramics was inherent in the family: her mother was ceramist Herta Dick-Lehmann, her father ceramist and sculptor Arno Lehmann. From 1978 Ute studied at Linz University of Art and Design, graduating from the ceramics master class of Günter Praschak with distinction in 1983. In 1978, 1979, 1983 and 1984 she participated in courses at the Salzburg International Summer Academy, and was awarded the sponsorship prize of the Salzburg Chamber of Commerce in 1984. From 1995 she was consultant for ceramic workshops.
