Welcome to the Collection Online of the Residenzgalerie Salzburg

The data will be constantly updated and expanded, and the latest research findings added.

The Residenzgalerie was founded in 1923, without a collection of its own. The seminal works, acquired between 1956 and 1991, come from the former Viennese collection of Count Czernin, are under Federal Monument Protection.

Main areas of the collection are: Dutch, Flemish, Italian, French and Austrian Baroque, and 19th-century Austrian painting. Besides the highlights of the museum, the Collection Online shows art-works which can be presented only rarely in exhibitions.
