Homage to Friedrich Loos - View of Salzburg and the Hoher Göll (Hochgitzen hill - district of Bergheim)
Wolfgang Richter took a work from the exhibition Town· Landscape · Mountain as the inspiration for a work of his own. In his Homage to Friedrich Loos, Richter chose the same viewpoint as Loos did 190 years ago in his View of Salzburg and the Hoher Göll (1833; Residenzgalerie Salzburg, inv. no. 109). Both artists were looking from the Hochgitzen mountain towards Maria Plain, the town of Salzburg with Hohensalzburg Fortress, and the Hoher Göll.
